Our Story
Revival Bible Institute was born out of a God-given vision placed in the hearts of Apostles Jean-Pierre and Amanda Bekker. Seeing the desperate need for sound biblical teaching, practical ministry training, and Spirit-empowered discipleship, they set out to equip believers to fulfill their God-given calling and impact their generation.
What began in 2019 as in-person training sessions quickly grew into something much greater. As the world faced the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Revival BI embraced the opportunity to move online. What seemed like a limitation became a divine launchpad, opening the doors for students from different cities, provinces, and nations to access quality biblical education from anywhere in the world.
Since its inception, Revival BI has remained committed to its mission of teaching, equipping, and training believers for effective ministry and Christian leadership. Through practical teaching, Spirit-filled impartation, and a strong biblical foundation, students are empowered to live out their faith with confidence and purpose.
Today, Revival BI celebrates more than 600 graduates who have been equipped, enriched, and transformed through their studies. Many have stepped into leadership roles, planted ministries, launched outreach initiatives, entered full-time ministry, and become powerful voices for Christ in their communities and beyond.
What started as a local vision has become a global movement of training revivalists, leaders, and disciples who are carrying the Gospel to the nations. As we look to the future, our passion remains the same: to raise up men and women who know God deeply, walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, and advance the Kingdom of God wherever they are called.
Equipping Believers. Empowering Leaders. Impacting Nations.
Message from the Dean
It is my privilege and joy to serve as Dean of an institute that is passionate about equipping believers to know God, understand His Word, and fulfill His purposes on the earth.
My heart has always been to see every person fully equipped to live out their God-given purpose. I believe that God has placed unique gifts, callings, and assignments within each of us, and that biblical training plays a vital role in helping believers discover, develop, and walk confidently in that calling.
At Revival BI, we are committed to providing more than information—we seek transformation. Through sound biblical teaching, practical ministry training, and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, our desire is to help students grow spiritually, mature in their faith, and become effective ambassadors for Christ in their homes, churches, communities, and nations.
Whether you are pursuing personal spiritual growth, preparing for ministry, or seeking a deeper understanding of God’s Word, we are honored to be part of your journey.
I invite you to join our growing family of students and graduates who are impacting the world for Jesus Christ. Together, let us grow in knowledge, walk in wisdom, and fulfill the destiny God has prepared for us. May the Lord richly bless you as you pursue Him and His calling upon your life.

Statement of Faith
We Believe
• We believe in the writings of the Old and New Testaments, in their original form, as being completely inspired by God, and we accept them as the final authority for faith and life. All Scripture is the absolute truth, inspired by God, and forms the foundation of our lives (2 Timothy 3:16). We are committed to putting God’s Word into action (James 1:22).
• We believe in one eternal God who exists in three Persons (the Trinity): Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are One. We love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. He is the highest priority of our love, obedience, and worship.
• We believe that Jesus Christ was sent by the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is fully God and fully man.
• We believe that God created mankind in His own image and likeness. Through sin, humanity became separated from God and deserved the consequence of sin, which is death—both physical and spiritual. Therefore, all people are born with a sinful nature.
• We believe in the family as an important pillar in the Kingdom of God and affirm marriage as the covenant union between one natural man and one natural woman (Genesis 1:27).
• We believe that every human being has been created by God with a divine purpose. As individuals discover and develop that purpose, they leave a lasting legacy on the earth. True success is found in fulfilling God’s purpose for one’s life (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
• Concerning sexual relationships, we believe that God designed heterosexual relationships within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that through the redeeming love and transforming power of Jesus Christ, every person can experience freedom, healing, and restoration.
• We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life, being made righteous through His precious blood.
• We believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus Christ, His ascension into Heaven, and that He now sits at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.
• We believe that everyone who repents of their sins and receives Jesus Christ by faith is born again through the Holy Spirit and becomes a child of God.
• We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, through which believers are empowered for service, equipped with spiritual gifts, and enabled to enjoy a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit.
• We believe in the God-given five-fold ministry gifts of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher for the equipping of the saints and the building of the Church.
• We believe in the principle of biblical authority and submission. Because we submit to God’s authority, we recognize and honor authority in the church, government, and personal conduct. The Kingdom of God is the invisible, absolute, and eternal government of God. Therefore, we seek to practice its values, principles, culture, and laws, making His will our passion and desire (Hebrews 12:28).
• We believe that Jesus Christ will return for His Bride, the Church.
• We believe in the resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. The righteous will inherit everlasting life with God in Heaven, while the unrighteous will face eternal separation from God.
• We believe that the Bride of Christ consists of all who have been redeemed by Jesus Christ and born again by the Holy Spirit. We believe the Church is called to develop the character of Christ and walk in integrity, humility, holiness, maturity, the fear of God, and love. Jesus is our example, and we seek to imitate, honor, and follow Him (Romans 8:29).
• We believe that God’s desire is for His people to prosper in every area of life. Therefore, we value continual growth and seek to mature spiritually, advance in faith, increase in anointing, and walk in greater dimensions of God’s purpose and blessing (3 John 1:2).
• We believe that Jesus Christ established two ordinances for the Church: Water Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Water Baptism is a public declaration of identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. Communion is observed through the bread, representing His body broken for us, and the cup, representing His blood shed for our redemption.
• We believe that our God is a multi-generational God—the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We believe that fathers have both the grace and responsibility to impart spiritual, emotional, and material inheritance to their children, both natural and spiritual (Exodus 3:15; Deuteronomy 30:19; Luke 1:50).
• We believe that the Bible provides for divine healing in both the Old and New Testaments and that healing remains an important part of Christ’s redemptive work and of this ministry.
• We believe that according to the Word of God, believers should faithfully bring their tithes into the house of the Lord (Malachi 3:9–10). We also believe in giving offerings as an act of worship, faith, and generosity, trusting that we will reap what we sow according to biblical principles.

I was baptised with Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues when I was six years old. Grew up in the tent revival’s in the 80’s where my Dad served under late Evangelist Nicky van der Westhuizen. At the end of school fell into the world but by God’s grace He brought me out of the world in 2009 being baptised and delivered from alcohol and drug addiction. Served in church from 2009 to 2017. Was the church administrator. 2017 met Apostle Jean-Pierre at a service were we arrived late. (Story for another day)
Served immediately under the prayer team (Thank you Teacher Tanya) Started with bible school immediately and was ordained as pastor early in 2019. Went through bible school again not because I failed but because material changed. I thank the Lord for the double dose.

I love the moments that Jesus gives somebody a miracle, I call those moments priceless because, you can not buy that with all the money in the world, and that’s what I live for.
My name is Adele van Rooyen, born Buys on 20 July 1979, wife of Wikus van Rooyen and a mother of two beautiful children. I gave my heart to the Lord in 1993, the year I went to High School, but life happened and I took a detour in the world. Through God’s grace and love I found my way back to Christ and today I live whole heartedly for the Lord. I started serving in Kids Church in 2006, today I am the Global Kids Church Leader in Revival Church. In 2019 I got ordained as a Pastor in Revival Church, in that same year we also planted Revival Church Krugersdorp. I stand in awe of what the Lord has done in my life and still going to do.

“Faith it till you make it”
In 2012, I had my first life-changing encounter with the Holy Spirit after undergoing water and fire baptism. During this time, I was delivered and set free from a religious spirit and was filled with the fire, joy, and presence of God. This encounter ignited a deep passion for inner healing, deliverance, and seeing lives transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit.
I joined Revival Church (RC) in 2017 and have since served in various ministry areas, including: MC (Master of Ceremonies), School of Discipleship (SOD), Foundation Fellowship (FF), Inner Healing & Deliverance (IH&D), Bible Institute (BI), Youth Ministry, Preaching, Global Deliverance Team
My ministry focuses on teaching, training, equipping, and discipling believers to walk in biblical truth and spiritual maturity. I am actively involved in spiritual counselling, inner healing, and deliverance ministry.

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.”
At 14, I went to a youth camp where I gave my life to Jesus Christ. At one point the leader asked if anyone wanted to share something about the camp with the congregation, and I raised my hand. But when the Sunday service reached the moment for us to give our testimonies of the weekend, I simply could not speak. The glory of the Lord swept into the church, and the unfamiliarity of that moment moved me to tears. I received a lot of help afterward, because the experience was so new to me. The glory was never explained to me, but His presence was real then and remains with me now.
After that, worldly things came—temptation among them—but about five years ago I found my way back to the Lord. Since then I have been dedicated to Him and serve in His kingdom. I have a passion to build the house of the Lord, whether as an usher, a flag worshiper, an evangelist, or an assistant leader in home cell and the men’s group. All glory and honor to the Lord our Father.

I was raised in a Pentecostal family and got saved at age 8 and baptised and baptised in the Holy Spirit at age 12. I felt God calling me to preach and evangelize already at this young age, leading my first soul to Jesus at age 8. At age 16 that I would carry an anointing like Kathryn Kuhlman.
After school I studied BA (Social Work) and worked as social worker in the SA Police service until God called me to full time ministry. I was led to do the year Great Commission training at Campus Crusade for Christ where I was connected for many years particularly in mission strategies (prayer, distribution and support) in multiple countries of the 10/40 window (most unreached people groups). In 2020 my focus was turned back to SA and serving the ministry of Apostle Jean-Pierre Bekker in particular. I served in the worship teams of 3 campuses of the church – Centurion, Krugersdorp and Montana and is also a traveling musician with the apostle. It was also under this covering that the Lord graced me to begin an evangelism movement in Eersterust, Pretoria for the past 5 years. Revival Church ordained me April 2023 as evangelist of Revival Church and I have been teaching at the BI since the completion of my studies. I became a Christian when I was 7 years old and that was when Jesus did not just become part of my life, buy my life became part of Jesus.
Jesus became my best friend and at a very young age, the Spirit started revealing Scripture to me.
My passion for souls in High school turned into a passion for teens and when I left school I studied Youth Work and went into full-time ministry.
Unfortunately the ministry could not support a family and I had to seek a career and continue being a Lay Minister and have been doing this for 35 years.
I was ordained as a Youth Pastor at Revival Church and are serving at the Krugersdorp Campus
