- Introduction
One of the greatest miracles of salvation is not merely that God forgives sin, but that He cleanses the sinner. The Blood of Jesus does more than cover sin—it removes its guilt, cleanses the conscience, restores fellowship with God, and transforms the believer from the inside out.
Under the Old Covenant, sacrifices provided temporary covering for sin. Year after year, sacrifices had to be repeated because they could never completely cleanse the worshiper. They pointed forward to a better sacrifice that would one day accomplish complete purification.
That sacrifice was Jesus Christ.
Through His precious Blood, believers receive total cleansing from sin. The stain of guilt is removed, the conscience is purified, and the believer is declared righteous before God. The Blood not only changes our standing before God; it changes our condition as we walk in fellowship with Him.
