Introduction
One of the most awe-inspiring truths in Scripture is that God’s love for His people did not begin when they were born, when they repented, or even when Jesus died on the Cross. God’s love reaches back into eternity past. Before the stars were hung in the heavens, before oceans filled the earth, before Adam was formed from the dust, God knew you, loved you, and planned your redemption.
The Father was not surprised by humanity’s fall into sin. He had already prepared a plan of salvation through His Son. The Cross was not God’s emergency response to human failure—it was His eternal plan to demonstrate His love and restore His creation.
This study reveals the depth of God’s eternal love and the incredible truth that the Blood of Jesus was part of God’s redemptive plan before the foundation of the world.
Theological Foundation
The Father’s Role
The Father is the source of eternal love.
Before creation, He chose to create humanity for fellowship and predetermined a plan of redemption through Christ.
Jeremiah 31:3
“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”
The Father’s love is not temporary, conditional, or based upon performance. It is everlasting and originates within His own nature.
The Son’s Role
Jesus Christ is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
Revelation 13:8
“The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
The Son willingly entered the Father’s eternal plan to redeem humanity. Through His sacrifice, the eternal love of God became visible in history.

Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for loving me before the foundation of the world. Thank You that Your love for me did not begin when I was born and does not depend upon my performance.
Lord Jesus, thank You for willingly becoming the Lamb slain for my redemption. Thank You for Your precious Blood that secured my salvation and reconciled me to the Father.
Holy Spirit, reveal the depth of God’s everlasting love to my heart. Remove every lie of rejection, fear, insecurity, and unworthiness. Help me live with confidence in the knowledge that I am chosen, accepted, and loved in Christ.
May my life be rooted in Your eternal love and may I reflect that love to others.
