Key Scripture
“That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire…”
1 Peter 1:7 (NKJV)
Supporting Scriptures
James 1:2–4 • Hebrews 11:1 • Romans 8:28
Devotional
Faith is not proven when life is easy. It is revealed when circumstances challenge what you believe.
Peter compares our faith to gold. Gold becomes more valuable after passing through fire because every impurity has been removed. Likewise, trials reveal whether our confidence is placed in God or in our circumstances.
Biblical faith does not ignore difficulties; it looks beyond them to God’s faithfulness. Every challenge becomes an opportunity to trust Him more deeply.
God often allows seasons where we cannot rely on our own strength so that we learn to depend completely upon Him. As your faith grows stronger, your confidence shifts from what you can see to Who God is.
The fire may test your faith, but it can never destroy genuine faith that is rooted in Christ.
Reflection
Where is God asking you to trust Him more fully today?
Prayer
Lord, strengthen my faith. Help me to trust Your promises even when I cannot see the outcome. Let my confidence remain firmly rooted in You. Amen.
Today’s Declaration
My faith is growing stronger through every trial. God is faithful, and I will trust Him completely.
Memory Verse
“The just shall live by faith.” — Romans 1:17 (NKJV)
