One of the most foundational truths of Christianity is that Jesus Christ is Lord. While many people gladly accept Jesus as Savior, Scripture calls believers to embrace Him as both Savior and Lord. Salvation is not merely about escaping judgment; it is about coming under the loving rule and authority of the King of Kings.
The early Church boldly proclaimed, “Jesus is Lord.” This declaration was more than a theological statement—it was a confession of allegiance. It meant that Jesus possessed absolute authority over every area of life. He was not simply a religious teacher or prophet; He was God incarnate, the risen King, and the sovereign ruler of Heaven and earth.
The Father exalted Him, the Son reigns in authority, and the Holy Spirit empowers believers to live under His lordship. Through the Blood of Jesus, believers are redeemed from the kingdom of darkness and brought into the Kingdom of God’s beloved Son.
The question every believer must answer is not merely, “Do I believe in Jesus?” but “Is Jesus truly Lord of my life?”

The lordship of Christ is part of God’s eternal purpose.

Jesus is the rightful Lord because of who He is and what He accomplished.

Heavenly Father,
